    Outdoors

    Hi guys, any advice or suggestions would be appreciated =)
    I was bored and so i went outside with my camera and this is what I got.

    All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king.

    Re: Outdoors

    i think the last one, the black and white rose, is the best. However i'd like to see more focus on the actualy bloom, the background seems to be distracting to me.

    I like the first rose but think that it should be cropped a little from the left and the right.

    Re: Outdoors

    I really like the 1st swing pic ... the leaves and stuff on the ground ... really a great shot !!

    the 2nd swing and the slide I think the background building really takes away from them .. much more effect from the 1st swing pic...

    the last b&w rose is just a great pic !! I probably wouldn't of really noticed the background (being a newbie to the photog world) but after reading dylans post and going back .. the background does take from the rose some .. also maybe trying getting down a bit closer to the flowers level and see what that might bring ya too ...

    some very nice shots there !!

    i dont think the bw shots with the swings are doing you any favors, i dont like the tones in it for many reasons. also - the third shot with the flower is too blown.

    i really like the perspective in the fourth shot, and the flower you reposted is very cool as well.

    I like the last black and white rose as well,

    It has great simplicity and is very natural. Nice shot.
    It would be nice to have that same shot in color with a dark background.
