I thought I'd try and look at those posting that hadn't received a response and this one came up. I'm a little surprise, because it's memorable and interesting. Certain not the "standard" kid photo.

the first time I posted I think I got like one response...I think either people think it sucks or---the one I choose to believe---is that they look at it and aren't quite sure what to think....

Thanks for looking and sharing what you thought.

This got no response the first time? Shame on us...

I think it is great. The mood is enhanced by the grainy, slightly blurred appearance and the nicely placed highlights of light in different areas of the photo. Even the slight tilt adds a certain tension.

Glad Lava Lamp has re-discovered it.

I apprecitae your comments---my challenge has been keeping details in the shadows...it presents the same problem to me as taking a pic of snow...I posted to see if it was worth working on and taking my time dodging and burning areas to have a better range of values...so I will continue to play with it and you may see it again..

    Thnaks again for looking

Nat I love this. I think it is a bit dark, but not in a way that would hinder the photo.
I think there is just enough detail in the door, and there is just the right amount of light focused on the face and door knob to conclude your point.
It is very grainy, and I think that works for the photo.
    Great job

    Hmmm. A treasure found

Now -- I got in trouble for posting a photo of my boy looking "trapped"

I love the high grain in this. The shot is moody. Maybe a little flat, but nice and moody nonetheless.

Hey, I think we should each go back through the old posts and pull up photo's that never received any attention, or little attention and revive them! I know that for myself, I've only been here since June and the older stuff would be cool to look at.
