The colors are on the cool side. Some might even say too cold but I kinda like it.
I like how you framed it. My only real issue is with his left eye which doesn't catch as much light as the other due to the directional lighting. Sometimes, it works well when one side of the model face is dark to the point that one eye gets barely visible but I think that you should dodge the darker side of his face a little in this specific case.

Well when I say dodging, I don't mean dodging to point where both side of his face would get nearly even but I'd simply like to see his darker eye shine a little more.

    regards

Hi Emily,,,,I agree with Seb that this image in a tad cool in hue but dissagree with Seb regarding ratio between mainlight and fill (rightside Vs leftside of face)...I reckon you have got it about perfect...What throws you is the very tiny catchlight in Oscar's right eye (as we view the image)...What I would have done is selected his eye to just under his eyebrow and lightened it just a tiny bit to give it more sparkle...

Emily,,I normally don't play around with other people's images and repost them but I thought your image has potential...I hope you don't mind in this case...

I have lightened Oscar's right eye (as we view the image) a tad and warmed the entire image by adding a little yellow and red...I also darkened the entire image a bit..

This is a great shot and I like Jurgen's post work on it. The added saturation brings the red out on his cheeks likes he has being playing all day. There is something classic about this shot as if shot with film.

It's really nice Emily...thanks for sharing.
