    The Orient Hotel



    For some reason I quite like this photo. The only bit I don't like is the bright part, lower central part of the photo.

    What do you think?

    Strange isn't it? I assume you are talking about how the first lamp shines on the overhanging balcony but then the lattice work of the second balcony seems to reflect more, giving it a solid wall line?
    Then again you could be intend the highlights on the first floor store front just beyond the bicycle? Actually I find the lens distortion caused by the angle of the camera? Did you use a tripod, if so it must have been set close to the ground?
    All in all I like it, nice seeing (previsualization) of the shot, it has alot of impact.

    The only compositional problem I see is the top corner being cut off.
    The bicycle adds a lot and I like the leading lines of the street/buildings and the tree on the right.
    Not sure what you can do about the bright spot but some of the pros here will have good advice.
