    Orange Leaf

Here is a shot of a leaf i got - what do you think ? I think i did a good job on it - on my computer the colors really stand out.

BTW - Is there anyway to find out the specs of how you shot an image after its on the computer like ISO, Shutter etc... Or do i just have to write them down hehe

Yeah, you can open your original shot in photoshop and click on file > file info. there you'll find all the info you're looking for.

I like the vibrance of the colours here. Black & orange are a great combo of colours that go very well together. But I think you've done too much in photoshop here. It just doesn't look natural any more with the outline around the leaf.

Is this a leaf from the air freshener tree? This is a cool image, well composed and good color, but I'm a little confused. It looks flat, has a black line around it, and appears to be kind of thick for a real leaf. If it is real, I'd like to see the whole tree covered in these leaves.

Thanks for the comments - Leels here is the orginal shot unedited - just resized - the outline is actually the water that the leaf was in. Thanks for the photoshop info tab tip also.

The leaf is real and its in FL where i am at now.

HAHA i just read "Is this a leaf from the air freshener tree?". That would be a cool pshop project i could work on.

But i did show the image to others and they seem to like it. I think the yellow streaks in the leaf look great and the image has personal meaning that i wont share.

Hey Themage...this is a cool image. The colors are definitely vibrant, and as you said, the yellow streaks are very cool. I do agree with others' comments about the outline and such...but at the same time, the original looks very dull alongside this one, know what I mean?

One thing I would suggest is to crop the pic on the left side enough to get rid of the black corner...it would balance the image a bit better, I think.

Thanks again - Ya i have been looking at this shot for awhile now hehe. I think the black in the corner adds a line to the top to match the opposite corner but its not really needed and i could crop it closer to the leaf too. Just more to learn and work into my next shots
