    One Way In

I noticed this green church under construction and couldn't help photographing it. When I turned around I noticed the sign. Critique away.

something looks odd about the sky, almost like it was HDRd, but subtle enough that I can't pinpoint it. Maybe there was some masking that bled over from the side of the steeple? Or, something, looks maybe a little halo'd or something, it isn't an extreme amount, its very subtle, but I do notice something unusual about the sky.

Anyway, My personal choice for focal point would have been the steeple, and not the sign. Thats just the first thing that came to mind when I saw this, it does looks well exposed and composed though, no other critiques I can think of.

Looks pretty soft overall. Actually looks like it was taken on a cell.

I like the message you are trying to send with this picture. I think if it's possible to shoot this in the future you should go back and try this one again. I agree with the other critiques that it looks a bit soft over all but it has some potential.

Good capture. The image quality could be better though

You can try sharpen it a bit (I would do it selectively) and enhance the contrast of the photo.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I might go back and try to get the focus a little sharper overall. It kind of looks a little bit like it focused on the sign, which might have been the point but the rest takes up too much of the picture and idea in the photo for it to be so out of focus.

I think it would work if the sign was tack sharp.

    Re: One Way In

I took this with my canon 70-200mm, which can be a bit heavy and needed a tripod. I was trying to get both sign and church/steeple in focus, but now I see that it is all is horribly out of focus. But, that is why I post here. Also, this was my first attempt at raw.
    Thanks for the comments!
