    Re: One more time

I think the second shot is more effective. In the first shot my eye is lead quickly off the frame to the right by the perspective of the crosses, curb line, and even the stripes on the flags. In the second shot the shallower angle, vertical column and the benches at the end stop the eye and get me back into the photo. I think the color version gives better seperation of the subject from the surroundings as well.

The one that does it for me is the first one. The crosses seem more numerous and to have greater depth. I also find myself reading the names on them. The flags are also more prominent which brings home why these crosses even exist.

I like the bench in the second one, but the fact that anyone seated there will have their back to the memorials makes it seem cold to me. Just my two cents.

I like the first one more than the others also. I think the crosses really stand out and emphasized by your composition. The second shot looks like a snapshot a tourist might take, while the first looks to be really thought out and executed in a way that a passionate photographer would compose. Sorry, not very technical here but this is my feeling

Thanks for the comments, it is very appreciated. Especially snce this was my first roll of film. It is kinda weird not having the review screen once you get use to it. The photo that Gary, and dbutler preffered was used in a local paper, and the editor wants to see more and discuss some future projects.
