    This is ONE image

This is one image, not a Photoshop trick. This shot is looking though a window at a carousel but off the window to capture part of the San Diego skyline.

    Re: This is ONE image

I think it's a good trick to work with... but it doens't really work for me in this image. The subject matter is not very complementary. Maybe try this when it's busier and it would give a more powerful image.

    Re: This is ONE image

CF - Very interesting........... Like how all the stuff is happening, showing action. IT really works. It sort of reminds me of some famous painting by a Russian painter of farm life or whatever.. can't seem to find it to provide a link (it might be Popova though). I think with a tad bit of cropping this image would be even stronger. See the uploaded crop for what I have in mind.

PS - but the crop does make it seem somewhat busy. I wonder if this could be fixed via some sort of matting.

    Re: This is ONE image

I like the original crop better. There is a nice contrast between busyness and emptyness, your eye goes back and forth, and the composition is still strong.(I do like the composition in the crop, and don't mind the busyness, gives it a whole new feeling)

I find this to be an interesting image, I'm very drawn to reflections myself, particularly store windows. I need to scan my work somehow but I'll post a few within a week.

    Nice capture.

    F-15/GB:

Thanks very much, both of you. I was a bit worried posting this shot wondering how it would be received. I can tell you now, I really like this shot. I am attracted to it more and more, the more I look at it. This was not easy to take and feel good about how it turned out. The image I posted was not cropped, only a +10 contrast boost to bring out the sidewalk, of all things; it was a bit dark in the original. Otherwise, it is as taken. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

I think its good and showing your creativity. Only thing I wish is that the the horse's reflection was stronger.

    Frog,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Just as note, the horse is not the reflection, the horse is on the inside of the window. The entire carousel is on the inside of the building/window; all of the skyline, sidewalk, flowers, cars, parking lot, etc., is the reflection. However, I understand what you are saying and appreciate the suggestion.
