    Older Farm House

    Not sure which type of color filtration / color manipulations you performed but my first impression was "yellow". You want people to notice the scene first, color second... even if it's sepia (what I suspect you intended) or otherwise monochromatic. Also, I might've zoomed in a bit more and cropped the frame starting just to the left of (or in the middle of) the big pine tree....

    Old style

    The subject, low contrast, and tint give this shot an old-timey feel. It looks like it could have been taken 100 years ago. The image is pretty small (to meet the posting guidelines?) so it's difficult to tell for sure, but it doesn't look very sharp to me. Was it digital or did you scan in a film shot? I'd sharpen it, and use a tripod if you didn't.

    I used a digital camera in sepia mode. Thanks guys for the input. I am going to be out in that area again this weekend, so I willl setup the shot and use a tripod this time.

    Regarding the Sepia, you're far better off creating that effect with color channels in Photoshop than using a camera pre-set... assuming you have the software.
