    Old and young eyes

They're watching a parade. Been digging and cleaning stuff on hard drive and came across this one.

Interesting photo, I like it, I would crop the hanging thing out of the right and good to go.

Very nice Frog. The reluctant applause of the adult and the "why do we have to watch this every year" look on the child apeals to me.

Very nice shot Frog. Love the old/young contrast, that they're not looking at the same direction, the bricks and even the thing on the right adds a needed variation in the brick pattern. well done!

    Re: Old and young eyes

Thank you, Dennis. I debateed on whatever that thing on the right is and decided to keep it.
Thank you Overbeyond. Appreciate your feedback.
Thank you, too, Mike. I actually have dozens of this and a similar window but could never quite catch the people in the windows right, except for this one.
Thanks,Leels! Well I did throw dozens away, especially so-so flowers but the digging around paid off.

Does anyone think it looks too concave?
I didn't notice until after I posted it so may try to fix that. Cropping and sharpening are the only other edits done.

Nice shot. I like the view of this even better with a square crop (mainly getting ridding of the hanger thingie on the right hand side).

    Re: Old and young eyes

    Great work.

I agree with the others about cropping out the hanging object on the right. Also, I see a fairly heavy amount of distortion, which can be corrected in PP. Other than this, good to go!

    Re: Old and young eyes

Great catch! I really like how this shot so clearly suggests what both subjects are in the middle of doing and, possibly, thinking. Really tells a story and speaks to the different stages of life and the priorities (mostly emotional) that present themselves in each. I'm glad you saved this one from obscurity.

I do agree with Alex about the distortion. Can easily be fixed in PP.

The first shot is clearer on my monitor and I like the story you've captured here. I'm glad you did not delete this one. I echo and agree with the comments made by Overbeyond.

Keep diggin out the oldies --- you've probably got a million goodies!

    Re: Old and young eyes

Wonderful photo, but I really don't care for the ultra tight crop.
As far as that thing on the right I would either keep it, clone it out, or crop right to the edge of it.

    Re: Old and young eyes

Frog, this is a worthy image. The old and the young both looking at different things it seems. The building is as much a apart of the image as the two viewers in the window. It sets up the presentation for these two subjects. I like the orignal and would not change the crop or clone anything out.

    Re: Old and young eyes

Thank you, Penny, Shooter, and Gary.
I do prefer the one with the thingy in it and the second post was just an edit off of that and is probably showing some deterioration and thus not so clear.
Unfortunatley this was shot in jpeg before I knew any better but the original is still there.

    Love the shot Frog.
I'm with Tiff on the crop .......thingy or not, the bricks add something to it.
Didn't notice the distortion till you mentioned it.
    Sure it wasn't the building?

    Re: Old and young eyes

Yep good/great capture. I wouldn't crop so close. I noticed the distortion on the first take. I'd simply clean the glass as you did and crop out the red bar on the right of the original shot and try and fix the distortion, leveling on the window sills. S
