    Old Soldier

    I can't remember if I have posted this image before...Anyway,,,,shot in Luang Prabang in the Northern highlands of Laos last year....

    Canon 350D/Sigma 18-200mm
    125th@f6.3
    400ISO

    Your composition is right on and your model have a whole lot of character. Great tones too.
    What was the background? It almost seems to be moving. I am also curious about the sort of glow arround the guy.

    Seb,,,it was shot at a street market..The background was striped plastic sheeting which was probably past its used by date with great gaping holes in it...This probably explains the kind of glow around the subject..It was shot in open shade with the main lighting coming from the right (as we view)..

    I love the lines in this shot..the color is great too, good, strong image. It's the sort of pic I'd draw with charcoal/pencil.
