Question old picture + adobe PS = ???

I took this picture a while back at Salt Creek, WA, but then photoshopped it for my digital editing class. What do you guys think?

I am not an authority on this kind of thing but the end result is quite striking and it looks like a very professional end result!

    Well done

Its a neat idea but it just does not work for me. I feel that the objects were just layed down and feel flat.

One thing i can suggest is think of kind of the reasons why the picture goes out of the frame. Like create something that draws you away from the frame- i am sure that wont make much sense but if you can understand what i wrote then congrats :>. Photoshop is great i use it on all my pictures and have been using it for 4 plus years now.
