    I like the composition and the idea, but I think the sign is too dark. I've taken similar shots, and they just don't work unless you can clearly read the sign. You may be able to adjust this to brighten it up, but a fill flash would probably have helped more.

    Yea true thanks. Im always trying to use natural light on my p&s cuz the flash tends to overexpose stuff. I keep on forgetting about using fill flash. Thanks

    I like the way you lead the viewer to the trail. As much as I like it (I like woods) I also think that it could use something else on the trail. What do you think, could it use a dog walking away, or a bike laying there, or ?

    I agree that the sign's dark but, I sort of like it like that!

    I wonder of a different conversion might seperate some of the things in the scene. Right now to much is the same dark tone.

    I like it as is too. Everything is light enough so that you aren't left guessing. I find the sign easy to read and I like how it points to the path but doesn't run parallel to it. The juxtaposition of the sign really adds to the image. Maybe a tiny bit more range to differentiate the tones (but not too much as I also like it dark)?
