How do you feel about the crop?

    Re: Old Door

the crop doesn't work for me,the door has a annoying damage at the bottom, that give the shot a sense of leaning, a trick on the eye that becomes very distracting,. in my opinion.

Good detail but I think the crop is too tight, especially at the top.

    Re: Old Door

Now that's an interesting comment/reaction Polarbeardiggs.

As a woodworker I immediately accepted the "state and/or age" of the door and that bottom section was not an issue. It is what it is.

I would like to see a little more of the building.

Again, possibly because of my background but a foot on each side of the door would do it for me

Thanks Greg, I like the capture.

    Cheers, Don

I like the texture. I could see it a little sharper to bring out the grain.

    Re: Old Door

I would like a little more of the building to get a sense of context.....

Also add something that would raise an ironic question for a creative look.....somthing to juxtapose the door.

    Nice find, lots of possibilities.

    Re: Old Door

Thanks for all of the help. I guess another crop wins. Here is an edit.
By the way. This old door is on the second floor of what was the hospital where the confederate soldiers were cared for. About a mile from the grave site of the post in ViewFinder
