    Old chevy

I took these shots of a old chev used as decoration by a guest house .
Changed it to black and white .
Took it from two angles . Could you give me your opinion to wich is the better angle or should i have tried it on some other angles as well ?
I also include the color version - just to know would this photo work better as black and white or color ?

    Thankx

It's a tad disctacting, my eye doesn't find a focal point. The stuff in the back of the truck blends in to the plants behind the truck, it's confusing.

I like the first shot the most, but maybe have it a little less centered.

I don't know. I generally don't like automobile photos. There's nothing wrong with your shot, to me its just a shot of someones crappy truck in their driveway, just like hundreds of others in every city across america, you know? That's not an insult, I'm just saying that it's not terribly interesting to me, that's all.

Sean, I get the impression that you really don't understand the concept of photography or art for that matter. That's sad, because you're missing out on something really important

My advice; take a day off, go for a long walk and try to figure out why I dislike cricket and still got excited looking at some cricket shots that were posted on this board. Look at it as an important photopgraphy/art lesson.

Oh btw, I'm not a car lover at all

I think it's cool that today on Independance Day, JoeD you're exercising your right to free speech and the right to have an opinion.

    As far as:
I get the impression that you really don't understand the concept of photography or art for that matter
Do you think you could help me out by showing me some more of my posts where I demonstrate that? 3 specific examples would help me out most. If I want to progress in the art of photography, I need to investigate statements like your own in order to see things from different angles and perspectives. If your perception of me is that I don't understand photography or art, that is a pretty powerful statement that needs some looking at.

Black and white is to me the winner. It actuates the time period of the truck.

    James,
I think you have done well here. I like the color shot/version the best. This is a beautiful color truck and all the rest of the colors in the shot are soft and pleasant. I get a nice feeling and impression by this. It is framed nice as well. I would only say that I feel it is cropped just a bit too tightly. would have like to see some space in front of truck.
Tyhe b&w version of this is a good conversion, better than the other B&W. as it has better contrast. But this image sort of loses its depth and feel that the original colored version offered.
So, I feel the bottom shot, the one in color, is the best of the bunch but would only suggest adding a little more space to the right side of the frame.
    Good Work, James
