Old Brick Building

Critique please.
This is an old house/business in an old Colorado mining town.

Russell Gulch, right? I used to hunt ghosts in Colorado when I lived there. Last time I was through there, I tried to take a photo of the same building. A surly type person came out and not so kindly asked me to leave.

Since we are in critique, the white bal and tint seems to be a bit off. The whole scene is a bit dark, it's rotated slightly to the left, and the FS road marker should either be cropped or cloned.

Here's my take on this photo. I rotated the photo slightly, cropped out the trees to the left, created a custom white balance using a a white spot toward the middle of the photo, increased the blacks a little, and increased the overall brightness of the scene.

Here is the original, I tweaked the colors quite a bit to give it a different look. Fortunately nobody gave me grief while rooting around up there.
