    I think if you'd have gotten closer to the doorway and focused mainly on the signs, this would have been a great shot. I don't know about the top one though. You probably need some clouds in there.

    it was a realy weird weather day no clouds about but grey sky so was realy hard to get clouds, thats why on the new birmingham photos i droped the exposure and over layed the coulds with the 2 buildings to give a moody effect

    Hi Andy,
    The first one really delivers an old feeling but I am not too sure about the highrise in the background. By the way, did you have a pint of 'Heinken' in the pub? ;)

    I love the B&W but think the color shot is too busy.

    On the B&W I might like to see the camera pointed just a tad lower to get more foreground and less of that dull sky.

    You did a good job getting a nice image out of bad lighting conditions.
    No, I DON'T need that.
