    Old abondon Railroad Via-duct

Well this is just down the street from my Kids school ( about 5 miles from me ) it was built in 1846 and was last used in 1990 m, the rails have since been torn up and it is suppose to become a bike trail. Last Year the Town cut down all the overgrowth last fall. I plan to got take A more detailed sequence and stitch them together.

If I back up any more to get more of it there gaurd rails and Power lines that will get in the way .

any other suggestions for this master pice of work. I also Plan to Model it in my Model rail road.

and taken from the other end

I love the first one, those shadows are very interesting to look at. As for backing up, you could always give it a shot by removing stuff in photoshop. I like the spot bandage tool more than cloning, it blends textures instead of exact copying them. Give that a shot if you have the chance to go again.

The second one doesnt do much for me. The colors aren't too exciting, but the detail is there.

I suggest you come back when the trees are all green and the lighting is the same, and you'll have an absolutely wonderful shot! Good shots!!

I like the second shot more than the first. The visible creek adds character to the location but the sky is over exposed. You have a great subject here. I'm thinking shooting this on a heavy overcast day would be nice to reduce the shadows. Try some black and white conversions as well.

Take a gigs worth of photos and come back with your favorite one to post. I look forward to it.

I would agree with manasca that the creek adds a lot to the photo. I would do some more shooting down there to try and incorporate that a little more. Maybe some closer up shots will produce a more dramatic photo.
Also, I think softer light (early morning, evening) would be better and could produce better shadows. The flora may not look as harsh too. Since it is close I would try different times and see what works.
    Great subject. Keep shooting it.

    Cheers.

    Splats,
I definately agree with Tao on getting a view from along the spring. I think it would be a great shot to have the water running thru the portal, and be real dynamic. The overcast day idea is a sound one as well, as it could remove potentially harsh light. Or maybe take it early in the morning. I like the possibilities here.
