    Ohio State Reformatory

This was taken at the old Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, OH. This is where they filmed most of Shawshank Redemption.

I like this architectural photo. Too bad the sky wasn't more dramatic but good gray tones and focus of the building.

Interesting shot. I actually quite enjoy the whited out sky and I love the structural aspect of the shot. The tones are superb and having the person in the shot adds some great sense of perception. My only recomendation would've been to include the whole building on the left hand side. But other than that, great shot.

Thanks for all of the input. Here is a version of the picture that I had a little fun with.

you did a great job in adding the skies to the second one. If the building was in colour I probably wouldn't have figured it out.

That being said. IMO, the 2nd with the building its normal colour could work. Maybe crop out some of the right and get the lady a bit of centre. good tries nevertheless.

Yeah, I was pretty much just having some fun.

The first photograph definitely has much more of an imposing characteristic in it. It feels much more towering and forceful than the second one. I'll go ahead and post a version with the bulding in its original color.

I actually thought that the sky made it look really fake. I took that picture of the clouds with a 12x lens and I think it looks too big for the building. But whatever; that's just my opinion.
