Roger - Not bad... very subtle. Perhaps a minute or two earlier would have been more dramatic. Well done considering.

Personally Ive almost given up trying to get good shots of boats. On a scale of 1 to 10 they always come out as 5s. I dont know what the trick is to getting a different-looking one (?)

Roger, I like your composition and the colors in the sky are entertaining but the boat is dimly lit. It seems to me that to really nail it you could either go for the boat as a silhouette or shooting this a bit earlier where the sunlight would really hit the boat. Right now, this fails right in between.

    Re: OH NO! Another sunset

    Seb, GB,

Always a problem on a sailing boat there is so much to do and so little time for photography.

On this trip the two of us were setting out for France and I quickly ran to the bow and snapped the shot, This is straight out of the camera on full auto and since were moving at about 4-5 knots I have one hand holding onto the boat and one for the camera.

Seb good idea I will try and get this as a silhouette tonight after work. If it works I'll re-post.
