    Smile NYC pics

    Hey guys, I got my first digital SLR and tried it out last weekend. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

    Do you have more? Are you just showing the ability of the camera or are you asking us to critique the pics, subject matter, etc.

    I'd say you're off to great start. I love the motion in both shots, and the stillness of the girl in the center of #2 really makes the shot.
    mostly Nikon gear

    Feel free to edit my images for critique, just let me know what you did.

    Love shot #1 though I'd be tempted to rotate shot #2 a little to the left to get that light pole straight up and down (the tilt is cool, just not quite enough to be definitively "artistic")

    really like them !

    the combination of still and moving objects/people is great

    are you carrying around a tripod and had it set in the middle of the sidewalk ?
