    NY sky on FIRE

    Hi..
    Just took this one with the D70 and a now clean 180mm 2.8 AI.

    they look impressive and relatively noise free..

    kind of apocalyptic.. the shutter speed was high enough to stop the smoke which helps as well..

    A wider view may have helped, but I wasnt there.

    Good lighting effect. Ominous. I think the cropping's a bit severe, though. I'd like to see more of the buildings...

    I like the middle blueish one because you can really see the steam coming off the buildings, the color looks true and the skyline is the sharpest of your 3 images.

    You use filters? Appears so. I think that they're OK from an experimental perspective, but seem somewhat unrefined. I like the bottom one the best, but I would definitely crop out the sun. Just my opinion,
