Now what are you looking at?

Another owl shot from the weekend. I like the original shot of this guy I posted better, but would like to hear your thoughts on this one. I can't seem to get rid of the orange part of the post, and keep it looking natural, so I left it alone. I can crop it out, but then the edge of the photo seems too close to the tail feathers...

Yes, the original is better. I'm glad you posted this one though...........I was wondering just how tall this particular type owl was. In comparison to the bottle.....he appears to be about 15" to 18" tall.
    Still a good shot.

    thanks,

Another nice shot, Michael. You might lower the saturation of that orange thing just a bit to lessen the distraction although those eyes still grab the attention. Nothing like a carnivors intense stare to make one take notice.

    Michael ,

Beautiful shot of a beautiful bird !
Maybe a bit of cloning could get rid of the red/orange plastic thingy .
I would agree one should not crop part off the tail .
But still a beautiful bird with great eyes !

    Regards
