    And Now! Some MTB Stuff!

As you can probably tell, I haven't done a lot of MTB photography this year.
I have been doing a lot of Holga stuff, it just seems where I need to be right now.
But last week I did some, for a local bike manufacturer Canfield Brothers Downhill Bikes
So what do you think of this first in a while mountain bike photo?
    Thanks!
    Brian
Even though Chris is not wearing a helmet, you should always wear one when riding your bike kids!

LOL, I love the the pose. This guy have the attitude. Nice framing but I am not sure about the dof considering the position of Chris in the frame. I mean, I see that area perfectly in focus in the foreground, then the biker which seems rather sharp but not dead on and then the blurried background. It creates a strange effect as I see it.
I might have opted for a broad dof with everything in focus but then, I am not into sports photography...

    Hey Brian,

I love the moment you caught here. Great timing! I also like the way the light is hitting different sections of the image. I think it adds some drama to the shot. One thing I'm not sure about tho, is the line running across the image, right above the tree tops. Is it a power line, or a road on the other hill? Perhaps you could give your new cloning skills a workout. Have you tried cropping the top of the image, right above the tree top on the right side of the image? I think it makes a littls stronger shot, as I feel the empty hillside doesn't add much to the shot.

    LOL Mike!
I appreciate your comments, but clonning out something that for reasons like that goes against my photographic aesthetic. Clonning out something as I did in the other photo is OK by my book. Two different purposes.
The other purpose was more "commercial" which, as you probably know, relies on "tricks" like that.
For me, most anything else must rely on the the judgement of the photographer to see what is going on in the viewfinder. I could go on and on, but I won't.
    They are power lines btw.
