    Not so old Shed

Ok I am still trying to learn the best settings for this fully auto PnS TZ5. My wife and I were taking a walk and I spotted this old .. well not so old but broken down garage. I thought it looked interesting with the trees around it. It was like a small piece of country in the middle of the smog filled city.

If it's about setting that you want to find out, and it was the black & white setting of your camera that you took this picture with, my suggestion is: don't use that setting anymore. Reason being you usually will get better result by converting a color photo to black and white.

As for the composition of this photo, I'm quite sure some would say your barn is situated right in the middle of the photo. Usually this doesn't work very well visually.

I'd crop it from the left and from the bottom.

I was thinking about the position after I got home and looked at it. Not very 3rd ish.

I actually did a b/w conversion on this.

I made the crop as Len suggested. Im still not satisfied with my shots yet. I still have much to learn.

Make sure your verticals are vertical. This seems to be leaning to the right just a fraction. Correct in PS if they are.

The black and white looks pretty grey. I'd go back in warmer light after the trees have bloomed and try this in color.

Like others have suggested; some croping and straightening are in order too.
    No, I DON'T need that.
