    Not quite blooming

I've been playing with this image. What do you think? What does it need? Thanks.

    Re: Not quite blooming

I like the layout on this photo, it fills the frame...no tips are apparent on the subject.
It could use some more saturated colors...I would like to see some really deep greens to go with the bloom.
Also , the bloom and top leaf are blown out, so that needs to be fixed...especially on the bloom.
    Overall a solid photo.

    Cheers.
I'm always mentally photographing everything as practice.

The one thing that I think would make this better is to expand upwards and to the left with your crop, I think that would work better, but I'm only guessing as to whats up there, and if it will fit in with the cropped part of your shot here. Maybe if you show the full shot, we could give suggestions on the crop, but its perfectly ok if you choose not to show the full shot. Also, i see a slight bit of blow out on the flower bud, shouldnt be hard to correct in PS if you have the raw.

Sorry if I came on a bit harsh, idk it seemed like I did.. lol.. didnt mean to..

I wanted to see the top of the red thing too when I first looked at it and also the water drop stains was a bit distracting to me .... but having said that, the shot works for me the way it is too

I like crits, you're not harsh at all. This is the full frame image, not the crop.
