Old Bones

An old building in Kentucky across the street from a gas stop. I like how the logs fit and how they've outlasted the strong young backs that lifted them. Whenever I see these old houses and barns I think of the future the owners were imagining to sustain them while doing the huge amount of work needed to make them. Can't you hear the good natured fellowship among the neighbors helping to raise this house and the dancing at the party following its completion?
