    Niko's portrait

    Hi,

    Niko is getting bigger but still posing for my like when he was 3 weeks old (4moths ago
    C.&C. welcome.

    Simply comparing the two photos you posted, one thing is clear: they're of different contrast levels. The first one should look better if you simply adjust the contrast of it.

    Like the composition of both photos. Excellent portrait subject. I agree with AgingEyes though, they are definately different contrast levels. As far as contrast goes, I lean towards the second photo,but I love the dogs' eyes in the first photo.

    thanks a lot for the inputs..
    I took both pictures with different cameras, the first one is with a D200 and the second with a D2X, (different lenses as well), maybe that's why the have different contract..!!?
    I'll take the advice and re-edit and see if it works better..

    Like them both but prefer the bottom one due to its better contrast, DOF, and its curious pose.

    That top image is great except for the contrast. You captured a great look and focused perfectly.

    Just have to be a little more careful making your whites white.
    No, I DON'T need that.
