    Nightime Queuing

This is a shot I'm feeling a bit undecided about, so any reaction at all would be appreciated, even if its just "Huh?".

It was taken late at night, walking to the station after a nice meal and a couple of beers with a friend. Even without the beers, shooting handheld in that light meant I couldn't get a crisp image, but I felt that maybe I had captured enough of what I saw to make the shot worthwhile. Partly because of the conditions I've added a rather grainier feel in PS.

So, should I have bothered, or should I relegate it to the dreaded on-line shoe box?

Oh, BTW, this is what you would have to negotiate during the day to get to the Millenium Wheel!

    Thanks for looking

Matt, I like this a lot. To me, this is the kind of thing that can fascinate me in "real life" yet I usually cannot turn it into a worthy picture. I'd say that you nailed this one.

    regards

Thanks Seb, I appreciate it. I love it when you stumble across an object or scene which ought to be quite mundane, but something about it stops you and makes you consider it in a new light. Its a great challenge to see if you can capture it to show other people how you saw it at that moment. The more enthusiastic I get about photography, the more I'm finding I start to worry that when those moments arise I won't have a camera on me - I must be getting hooked!

    Cheers,

    matt
