Night time shots in London

Hey everyone! I've been offline come back from Cuba recently! I tried a few night time shots using one of those mini curly tripod things, attached my camera with a 70-300 lens out the window and here are the results...
Whats good about being under the Heathrow flightpath, if you screw a shot you only have to wait 2min for the next plane!!

What are the squiggy lights? You made reference to the Heathrow flight path, so I am guessing planes? I'd be more interested in seeing planes in the daylight. They don't appeal to me, but then I'm not exactly the best judge.

OH ok thanks for the feedback! yes i realised last night I did not actually mention what they were! But yes they are planes!
