    Re: Night on the Rocks

Thanks Javier, but there's always something to critique !? A friend commented that her front foot placement seems a little unusual (but who wears heels on rocks anyway). Seems that my shots are never really razor sharp either, .. not sure what the trick is there. Thks for commenting again,

I have to disagree with your friends critique. The foot placement IMO helps define her muscular legs. It brings them out. As far as sharpness goes at least as far as this pic goes, looks fine to me. If it where sharper, I think that her skin tones would look blotchy.. At least this has been my limited experience.. I am sure that some of the pros here can nit pick something, but I can't find anything wrong.

I am no pro either, but the first thing I noticed was her legs  and then how splotchy they are

Thats my only grief from it. Otherwise, it looks alright

    Re: Night on the Rocks

    Hi GB,

I like it a lot and don't have much to critique. It would be nice to get a little more view of her face so we could see her eyes. For some reason pictures like this with eyes obscured bug me.

    Re: Night on the Rocks

J - Thanks again. I favored bold stances, and she mostly went along. I think on this one I was trying to get her to place her left foot on the next higher rock area but I think it was too dangerous -- could fall.

Danic - thnks, I might need to smooth off her legs a bit. She's not real dark skinned and coming from a colder climate (Flagstaff, AZ) the sun might be hard. I think it must be hard for a female model to be in peek photo condition all the time as far as bruises, tan, etc.

Cara - Thank you also for commenting. I agree, the eyes are big... Here a friend was shooting her head on so she was more or less looking his way. She did glance towards me but I think I'd already shot ! I'm still going through my shots, will see if I have a better version of this.

    Re: Night on the Rocks

I agree about seeing more of her face and eyes, and also I feel the forward foot is awkwardly placed on the rock. She looks posed, and thats not usually good.
Aside from that, I love the hard lighting on her in this one. It goes well with the contrast of the black evening dress and heels. the image is powerful, only the pose and little bits like the foot placement etc, is hurting a bit.
please do not edit and repost my photos
