Thanks very much for your comment. I really appreciate it. I spent most of my day yesterday practicing. We have quite unusual weather here at the moment but makes for good photography. The post Water Over The Dam was from yesterday also.
The night shot was taken with a Canon 18-55, settings were 0.5 shutter speed/4.5 aperature @ ISO 200.
I have another from last night that I will post a bit later.
If you call this a practice shot then I am sure the perfect one will be more spectacular. Post it when you've done one or even a few. This one is already a great shot.
This is my favorite of the series! You have a nice composition of line and color balance with the track. The light from beneath against the contrast of the black sky gives this image good weight with it being well rooted producing a solid photograph.
I would like to see the station a little more displaced from the approx. center of the image. It isn't bad, just could be a stronger image if slightly recomposed. Even a little more dark sky at the upper left. The edge of thw walk/curb at the bottom vanishes into the frame at a slightly awkward angle and location and could be cropped or modified.
Good photograph ! Sign it, frame it, and hang it proudly!
ube: Yes, the SD Trolley. This is the Grantville Station.
drg: Thanks very much for the comments. I will take a look at this given your thoughts. I live close enough to the station that I can re-shoot no problem.
