    A night out.

    Here are a few shots I took while i was learning how to use my new camera. Please let me know what you think.

    The idea in the first one is good but would be better if subject was past the light and doorway.
    Second one is flat.....needs a shadow or something.
    Don't know what you were after in third.

    The frist shoot is the best, nice and sharp, with the person walking makes the photo. The other two look like they were hand held, camera movement. With night photography you need a tripod.

    Gabe - I pretty much agree with the other two critiques. Technically, a tripod's a must. You can sometimes improvise by leaning it against a wall or something however, or propping up the lens at an angle with something to aim.
