I especially like the bottom picture of the dramatic sunset.

yea i could only go to 15 sec. exposure and the 1600 iso I have is pretty noisy. For now I am working with what I have. I am saving up for either a Nikon D50, D70, or the new D200 coming up.

Good idea, but a little less sky. Go for no more than 1/3 horizon here, as it really doesn't offer as much as the foreground. Also, might want to set exposure for the rocks as they seem a slight bit underexposed (yeah, I know, it is almost impossible to figure the exposure for them).

One idea that might be worth trying is to artifically light the rocks with different color lights during exposure? Ha, pretty strange idea I bet.

You did a really nice job for just hand-holding a PAS camera in very dark conditions. I would agree the first has too much sky but the third seems fairly well proportioned based on the colors, etc. The thing I really like is that the foamy water shot with long exposure almost looks like cloud cover beneath your feet. I have the sun beating through my shades right now so it's a little difficult to make out detail but overall I like these shots. I'll come back when the viewing conditions in here are a little better.

I really like the second image alot and so I hope you don't mind, I decided to see if I could do anything about the noise, I think the results are not that bad............
