    In the Night

Should I leave the moon in the shot or remove it? I am 50-50 on this so your thoughts appreciated. Thanks........

    Re: In the Night

Without a doubt leave it. Wow..How did you do this? I'm guessing HDR. But from top to bottom the exposure is perfect. If I would have tried this shot my moon would have looked like a glowing blob, even w/HDR. The detail in the moon is just awesome. I have many thoughts on how you did this but, they are all just a guess, and I don't want to speculate. Instead I will just appreciate it. And that's exactly what I'm doing.
Is there any hope in seeing the EXIF? If not no big deal. I know it might be able to help me a ton. Night photography has been my new passion, for photos like this.

I would move it closer and leave it in - your PP tolerance may vary. - TF

Moon in! It is a modern outhouse after all. Was this double exposure or PS? I think the scale of the moon looks appropriate in the sky so no complaints there either. Too big would look kind of silly considering the subject matter.

I'd make it more white maybe, to match the light on the outhouse. (or make the outhouse warmer). cool photo, i like the moon in it

    Re: In the Night

Hey Greg, leave the moon in. (of course you must know that I would feel that way
Its great, just want a bit more space on the bottom. If you don't have it in the original it would be easy enough to add some with an expanded canvas.
    Nice scene and color

    Re: In the Night

I wish the moon was a tad bigger - so I guess I am voting to keep it in.

    Re: In the Night

Thanks all. The EXIF is 100iso, 4.5 at 50sec. The moon was actually facing the door of the outhouse. I took a separate picture altogether of the moon. Pulled both pictures up in photoshop, used the magic wand on the moon and relocated it into this shot and resized it. Roger I always toy with the size but am never quite happy.
I played with the lighting, before moving the moon, by using some Lightroom adjustments and saturating the yellows as much as I could.

I love it very cool. Did you ever read a short story by Stephen King titled, "A very Tight Place...? It's about a guy seal up by a crazed neighbor in a port-a-potty..very scary. This looks like it belongs on the cover of that.

Thanks John. No I have never read that. I am sure my wife has. She read a lot. I will see if she has it.

Absolutely leave the moon in, another great addition to your night scenes collection.
