    Niece on The trampoline

This Photo was my first attempt at Taking candid Portraits, It was kind of hard because My niece would lunge for the camera, I have never shot like this before but I found it quite fun and have been shooting most of my child portraits like this.

    What do you guys think?

Looks like you're off to a good start. Taking pics of kids is tough. You may want to shoot with a longer lens. Not only does it help keep distortion at bay, but it also will blur out the background more AND keep you a safe distance away from curtain climbers. The first image is cute though perhaps not frame worthy? It's really cute though, she looks like she's soaring! I prefer the second though I would like her head turned just a wee bit more to the camera (her left ear JUST disappearing around the edge). It would give you more of those fabulous cheeks and eyes. And I like the angle.

Nice photos, though the background is a distraction. I would add motion blur in post processing to show movement. Panning would have been a good technique, though it does take practice.
