    I like it quite well.
I might crop on left to leave only the one light.

I wonder how well it would look if you cloned out all of the lights?????

I feel the horizon divides the photo in half. There is a lot of negative space in the sky which may not be adding much to the photo. I like the lower half.

    Nick,

I would consider cropping just under half the sky out - so just under the star which is a bright dot roughly in the middle.

I sort of like the lights but can see what people are saying about removing them. I would want to experiment to see what the outcome is on removing them before deciding.

    Nice shot though.

Very nice shot. I would recommend trying increasing the shadows (shadow/highlight in photoshop) just a tiny bit and see if there's enough detail to do this. Then increase contrast a bit to darken the sky. Other than that nice composition .

Thank you all for the comments, I am going to have to play with it a little in photoshop and see what I can come up with. I though I would mention that the shot was taken when it was almost pitch black (2:00am).

    Thanks,

hi great shot, you must have used your 30 second aperature setting, try changing your white balance to incandescent, you will get a blue'r sky, also your hd filter is great for the water fall effect, but i not liking the effect it does to the bottom water, makes it look unreal, and cropped alittle more to the right to get those flashy green lights out, they stand out too strong, for for a point and shot,it does one hell of a good job,i'll be sticking with my h5 for alittle longer, good luck on your next pics.

    Re: Niagra Falls (Night shot)

Welcome to the forum. I agree about cropping off half the sky as it certainly divides the photo in half as it is framed. I would also suggest cropping off from the bottom just enough to lose the small bright areas. Then, crop from the left to lose all the lights. Finally, try to bring out a little more detail in the shadow areas. I like the slow shutter effect on the water.
