    Newbie Need Info!!!

I'm new in the camera field and want the best results with the shots I take
I will be on location and don't want to fail. Because we won't get the chance to return to that location.

I have Olympus 500 DSLR which has a lot of preset programs, or choose point and shoot
is this the best way to get the best results or is there a location one can go to learn how
to set up a camera up before taking pictures :mad2:

What kind of shots do you take or are going to take at this location?

That will help us narrow it down.

ps. This should probably be moved to the help forum.

I think that I would buy a good book on setting exposure and a couple of huge memory cards and maybe even a labtop so I could learn in a hurry and on location. And don't forget a couple of filters. Go to Barnes and Noble and look at some books with snow and ice pictures in it and maybe this will give you some ideas about composition too. Good luck and when you get back I would love to see some pictures. Greg
