    New York skyline night

    Hey,
Bare with me because these are all taken with a Fuji f10 at iso 200. I did a lot of work with the colors but there was originally a red tint to the sky. The eagle is a 9/11 memorial.

    Re: New York skyline night

Hey XSport...as a newbie, please take my comments with a grain of salt...but, I think, very pretty colors...I personally like red skies...My favorite of these is #4...the Eagle closeup...I don't know if it's the fact of it being a 9/11 monument or the sheer majesty of the eagle with that burning background!!! The other eagle shot, on my monitor, has the eagle way to soft, IMHO, but I think this could be another awe inspiring shot if you had the monument much sharper and of course a bit more level. Same comment for #2...I think this could be a great shot if the city lights were level...I really like the waves...as for #1, I'd crop out some of the sky and try to make it more of a "panoramic" look and feel. The black sky is really a void and IMHO lends nothing to the photo. Lastly, #3...I really like tree silhouettes....but this one doesn't work for me. I really like the bottom, but the top gets hidden by the blackness of the sky...however, with a little more work, I think these are all good shots...
Finally, this is very interesting, since I have never been to New York and this type of "skyline" is rarely seen, in favor of the typical NYC skyline". If I hadn't been told by the title where it was, I'd have never even thought it was NY...Keep up the good work...
