A new take on an old subject.

I posted this in the Project forum, but would like some feedback on this image. This old mill is a very popular photospot, but I have never seen it done at night before. If you do a search on the forum for Hyde Mill, you will find some other photos of this same place.

I never was crazy about star trails, but the rest of it I like a lot!

I like start trails but I would like to see them across the full arc.

Thanks for the feedback Jetrim and EOS. I would like to go back again and retry this, with a longer exposure. Next time I will leave the wife home so I can stick around longer.

Have to admit I like everything except the star trails, too.
They just don't seem to fit and detract from the subject.

i feel the star trails add motion to the image--it shows a dizzy planet--like a Van Gogh painitng. This is a striking image.

The exposure and waterfall are fantastic! The only thing I do not like are the streaks across the sky (like others have stated), they are distracting imo.

I don't even mind the star trails. This is a fantastic exposure. U captured everything so perfectly . I simply love it!

I have held back with my comments so far as I cannot decide if I like the star trails or not. Perhaps if they were longer.

The rest of it is perfect.

It seems that the star trials can go either way... Some like them, others don't. I'm going to try to go back this weekend and do another shoot if the weather is good, and I can stay awake.
