the picture of the biker is the best, the football pictures are blurry, use a higher shutter speed, or get a realy good flash, i did that b4, when i first started taking pictures haaha, what camera do you have

thanks! i intentionally blurred that football picture. i think it adds a element of high speed to it when you do that. just my thought though. unfortunately, i do not have my own camera. my photo teacher supplies with all the goodies! for that stuff i used a Pentax Digital SLR and for the bike one i used the same camera but with a wide angel lens.
thank god chrismas is coming up now because i am getting the Nikon D70....FINALLY!
    haha.

I have a d70 and an n-75 they, the d70 is so sick, its like so nice to hold, its like a realdeal digital camera, uuumm the blurry part, u shouldnt just set back the shutter speed u should learn to use spot metering, and get the runner infocus and everything blurry, cause to anyone i think that pic looks like its just out of focus, to me atleast it dose
goodluck with the d70 im going to get a long lense for it so i can do real sport shotz, cause the lense it came with dosent get out there that far

    Good stuff!
Make sure you take advantage of anything and everything you can learn from here, there is a lot of great information here.
At the risk of sounding a lot older than I am, I got into photography when I was about your age, so I know what you are going trhough. Keep shooting remain passionate about photography and never stop learning and improving your craft.
If you do that, you should still be at it when you are my age!
    ;)
I look forward to seeing more from you, "young man"!

Hey, new kid on the block! you did good! You've got a good start on your photography and you love it which is the main thing. You can only get better. Those shots are not easy to make. Right at this time, I'm trying to force myself to do action shots. Why? Because I suck at it so much and I'm tired of just ignoring anything that moves. The first two are fine for a school paper but practice so you can take really clear ones for the year book. That last shot is excellent. Once you get your own camera, you will advance in leaps and bounds because you will have access to it all the time and practice makes perfect. It also makes you feel really good that it's your very own and thus you will love taking it with you a lot. Have fun, cuz dang this photography is just fun!

I love the blur on the football shot, though the helmet should just be a bit sharper. Faces, always try to get the faces, your journalism teacher will love you for it...
