    Paul,

    I like it. The colors aren't doing much for me, but I'm not sure on whether or not saturating them more would make it better. That being said, I love the composition and the DOF is strong.

    I agree with jar_e about the colors here. There just isn't much this early in the year. But that is okay. I think you have overcome the lack of color with a strong composition that tells us what we need to see without having to resort to garish color contrast. Thanks for sharing.

    It shouted at me as I walked past
    The green of the new growth against the brown of last year's.
    But with the buds on the thorn bush to give just a little relief from the brown.
    Personally I like the muted colours.

    This is untouched at the moment, but having shot raw I have plenty of opportunity to adjust. I'll wait for more votes to see if others agree on the saturation. I think I'll be outvoted ...
