    New comer

Hi everybody, first time to post. Hoping to see some awesome photos and pic up a few tips. Been 35mm most of my life and digital in a low tech way for 10 years. I enjoy video but have fussed with tapes and now want to move to something that edits faster. Hoping this community can offer some expertise. Thanks

Really really nice. The highlight is MAYBE a tad hot. Or bright. Or maybe not.

Yes, very nice indeed. I love the fantasy aspect of this shot, the mushrooms seem almost animated. I think they need to be isolated a bit, meaning a bit of cropping might be in order.

    Welcome to PR!

Nice light with the dark grass and sunlit 'shroom.

They are too centered for my taste and the white in upper right is distracting.

Am I thinking of the dancing mushrooms from Fantasia?

    Re: New comer

Hmm. I like the shape of the mushroom. The grass seems sort of dead, but I know that mushrooms like shade. It's a bit too centered and maybe it could be bigger in the frame. The upper right white spot is distracting, so I'd crop that out. You may also want to rotate it CCW about 1 degree, as it seems to be tilted right a little.

Not a bad first post. Keep shootin'

This looks like a film shot?

    Re: New comer

I love the mushroom, but I also think it could be a little more off-centered (of course this is a matter of taste). And I don't know what kind of camera you are shooting with, but it looks like there is some noise in the photo.
