New camera - YAY! First results

Hi all .. I got a brand new camera .. next to a new car there's nothing like it! It's a Pentax *istDL. I saw a body-only for a clearance price (around 60% of normal) and as I use a Pentax *ist film camera, I have all the lenses already. This was Sunday .. so I post a couple of results - no claim to any great artistic merit here but it seems a fine little performer. One photo was taken in a local graveyard, the other at a family fair.

    Cheers
    Mike

Congratulations on the *ist DL Didache! I've been using the *istD series (istD* and ist*DS)for 3 years now and I have been very happy with it. I've been saving up to get the S2 body soon. Use it in good health!

Your gravestone angel seems a little dark it would be nice if the tones of the stone were more apparent. It looks like the camera exposed for the light of the sky in the background not the statue.

The image of the big engineer and the tiny train made me smile. It feels like there is too much grass in the foreground though, perhaps a crop would balance it up.
