New Baby

I am new to photography. This is my first DSLR. A close friend had a baby and I took a few shots. I am starting to understand how satisfying photography can be, the mother couldn't stop staring at the pictures, it is a great feeling to be able to give someone something so special.
I am excited to be able to take better pictures, I appreciate your input.

Well for someone new to photography you have certainly done a great job of moving in close, minimizing distracting background, and grabbing the most important expressions on the faces. Some natural talent, perhaps?
