Neuschwanstein Castle

Hey guys,

Im new to the forum and I would like your advice. I studied abroad in Germany last fall, and my school has a photo contest. My favorite pictures are these of Neuschwanstein Castle, but I cant figure out which one to submit. Which picture do you guys like better?

I took these with my Canon Powershot S230 3.2megapixel.

The second one, you can see it better it all it's glory!

The second one, although it needs several corrections in some image editor to increase its impact.

The second one is the stronger image, you also get a much better idea of the size, where it is positioned up on a hill side, over looking the valley and is that the Danube as well.

Joe, I have Photoshop, what kind of corrections would you recommend?

I love the second one, the first one is pretty except i was distracted by the trees. I bet their heating bill is high! lol My ex is from Germany, bet he knows that castle!

Might want to fix the contrast - have you tried auto contrast? The castle should be the main focus so it just needs that little oomph - you could even try render lighting on the subject.
