    Welcome Andy.

To resize an image, download Irfanview, it's free: http://www.irfanview.com/

Irfanview is a good way to get started, assuming you don't have any other image editing software. Here, stick with up to 600 pixels in the long dimension and you'll be OK. For Irfanview, do this:

    1) File > Open, select image
    2) Image > Resize/Resample
    3) In the box that opens, set height (if vertical shot) or width (if horizontal shot) to 600.
    4) Make sure "Preserve Aspect Ratio" is checked in that box, click "OK".
    5) File > Save As - might want to save this to your desktop to keep it separate, or set up a folder to keep these smaller images.

Thanks for showing Andy how to do it, because I don't have Irfanview myself.

If you don't like Irfanview, I'll give you your money back! Adobe Photo Deluxe is really old - check out Adobe Photoshop Elements 2, less than $100 and very powerful. Get ready for a steep learning curve though. It will do about 90% of what Photoshop CS will do.

ok i tried using the infranview.. i like it cuz ive used it before.. my only prob is its still saying the size is too big haha.. and when i tried to go alittle smaller with it..the quality of the pic dropped..i tried it like ya said using 600@450 pixels and on here it allows pix up to 145kb and my pix was still up alittle over 700.. im gonna keep trying though..
