    Narrow Opening

Narrow is the gate that leads to fields of green pastures. Do you have any thoughts regarding this photo?

I like the premise but I might like it more if you could see more through the gate, or even if the far gate was also open to reveal what lies byond.

It's a pretty strong angle, so we get more of the wall than the gate or what lies beyond. I think it's a little dark and not sharp enough.

I like it. The stone wall provides a somewhat foreboding feeling which is accentuated by the darker colors. Then you have the open gate inviting you into the shot with some nice highlights on the gate itself and the brighter grass on the other side.

I like the idea and composition but I feel the whole image is a bit dark and the light on the pasture needs to be brighter (as in a bright sunny morning). If you can get back there I think it would be well worth spending some time getting just the perfect shot of this,
    No, I DON'T need that.

I liked the sharp angle. It makes me wonder what is around the corner. I agree with MB1 that if you could capture an image with more light on the "other side" you would really have me.

Thank you for all your critiques and comments. i think I will take your advice and rework the shot when I am back in the area. Any ideas as to how i can improve the shot besides lighting?

I like the idea here also. Two things i think might help. Step back just a bit so the crop is not so tight around the gate and stone wall. . . just a bit. Then i would try having the stone section that is immediately in front of us darkend much more so there is a feeling a the viewer standing in a dark area with the light coming from within and beyond the gate.
