    naptime

I snagged this in the middle of a shoot for the little one (which was one of the first times I've been able to really shoot since starting school again two months ago). It wasn't too great technically, but it was a quick grab and seemed to be a nice papa/daughter moment. I'm a little stuck on if the conversion gives the right feel. I'm definitely going for a dated/candid look. Thoughts?

If by dated, you meant for it to look like something shot years ago, I think you're pretty close. My first impression before reading your comments was that it looks like a BW snap from the seventies. I know the main subject is the child, but the soft focus on dad's face bugs me a bit. Otherwise, it is a nice catch of a tender moment.

Yeah, the focus bugs me a bit too. I'm glad to hear the b/w works though.
