My night out: Music and a great sunset

I went out to a public concert on the boardwalk on Bellingham Bay and got a good sunset. Sorry I could not decide what looked good, so you get to see 4 of the same sunset, all looking different.

Hope you enjoy this. I sure did.

The second band shot shows more emotion and action. I like the sunsets, postcard material or more.

Nice shots overall. The band shots are good, but I wish the mic wasn't where it was at, for it seems to get in the way of the guitarist. I wonder what the shot would look like in B&W too.

I agree about the band shots, the second one is best. That mic stand was totally in my way with nothing I could do about it. And if you want to see how it looks in black and white, go ahead and have fun.
Thanks for the kind words, again.

Very low lens flare in the sunset shots, almost none. What lens and camera?

I like the way you shot the sunets. Great work as always.

I really like the first and second sunset shot. The second best, it is less traditional IMO.

Re: My night out: Music and a great sunset

My setup at the time: Nikon D50 camera, 135mm Vivitar lens for Nikon (quite old, all manual and kinda heavy) and a skylight filter. I was also using a higher shutter speed than reccomended (my light meter was a bit in the negative side) but I have found that doing that adds more color sometimes, or something like that, just my way of doing it.
